Animals / Exhibition at ‘Schmale Wurf’ 03.07 - 03.08.21

During July, my series of inks on paper of small animals will be exhibiting alongside my paintings of the beasts of the animal kingdom such as the orangutan meaning ‘Man of the Forest’, highlighting how animals can live in harmony with each other and their surroundings.

Showing at restaurant ‘Schmale Wurf’, Rheingasse 10, 4058 Basel.

Save the date - closing Finnissage is on Tuesday 3rd August 2021, from 17.00 - 19.00, hope to see you there!

‘Cardboard Heroes’ are coming to town….

Following in the footsteps of Jean Tinguely who in 1947 created Ramstein Optik’s first “art window”, I’m honoured that my ‘Cardboard Heroes’ will be exhibited in their prominent windows from 4th - 30th May 2021. Founded in 1899, Ramstein Optiks are now one of the largest independent opticians in Switzerland. Please find details below.

Made entirely out of cardboard and recycled paper materials, these 3D creations provide a window into considering our ways of consumption and what we perceive to be waste. The materials themselves provide forms and textures that give a sense of play allowing the characters to come to life.

Watch out too for another announcement soon about my next exhibition ‘The Great Teachers’ in June 2021, which will probably take place in Basel in the restaurant "Schmaler Wurf", restrictions allowing.

Stay safe and inspired.

Honoured to have my artwork ‘The Light Within’ exhibited as part of the ‘Make It Blue’ art campaign showing support and gratitude to all the front line workers in the NHS against the COV-19 pandemic which is part of a wider project to light the skyline with blue light every Thursday across the UK and globally.

Curated by W1curates and MakeItBlue, with thanks.
